Ronno wandered around the forest. His mother had been shot and he had nobody now. He slowly traveled through the forest. Hoping to find someone. Anyone, to talk to. He stopped by a small flower patch and took some to eat. As he ate a cold, chilly breeze struck him. He cried out in pain. It was too cold for him. He continued to look for some place to rest.

Watching from her perch, high in an old oak, a chattering little rodent sat nibbling on an acorn she cleverly stored away for times such as this. During the winter, when the waters were frozen, and the ground was sent to rest beneath a blanket of white snow. This was the time of year that all the instincts passed down from generations influenced the young chipmunks decisions. Even now, as her beady eyes focused upon the fawn. "How odd," the little chipmunk chattered to herself. "A whitetail fawn alone in the harsh winter." Swooping down onto a lower branch, after carefully returning the precious acorn to it's resting spot with the others in the trunk, she casually made her way closer. Clearing her lungs, she watched with innate curiosity. "You there, ahhhem. Buck-to-be. Winter is hazardous to a young one, don't you know? Now then, ahheeem. Where is your mother?"

Tilting her striped head at the reflexes and words that were uttered from the young prince's snout, Pip pulled a look of concern across hers. "Ahem. Shelterer from the snow, y'say? I know the perfect place, I do. Come on, young one. Follow Pip, she'll lead the way!" Determined to help this troubled fawn, Pip leaped down from the tree and into the snow below. It froze her paws, causing chills up her spine. "Should be sleeping.. This is what I get for waking up for a snack.." She muttered to herself, then noticing the fawn again, she clambered up onto his back. "On second thought, you walk, I lead. Come on now, forward little buck. Herrumm."

"What are you two meals doing walking around in such cold weather?" Shishou said spying the fawn and chipmunk in the white forest. She flicked out her tongue and ran it across her large teeth. She wasn't exactly threatening laying on a rock like a lump of gold, but the tongue thing was a feline habite. A soft winter wind blew sending a shiver up her spin. If she felt like it she could go back to her cave, but she didn't so she wouldn't.

Freezing in fear, Pip slowly turned her eyes toward the cat. Chattering with aggression in this pred's close council, she spoke quickly. "Here cat! Now you stay away, you do. Mean kitty, messing with a fawn and a lowly chipmunk. Off with you, off with you!" Of course, the true realization was obvious to any observer. A mountain lion against a fawn and a loud-mouthed rodent, no real competition really. This idea made her eye twitch slightly; the sudden urge to scamper into her winter dwelling in the oak nearby caused her grief. No, Pip. Must'nt leave the fawn alone.. Bravely or foolishly, she nibbled Ronno's ear gently, telling him to slowly make their exit.

"Don't worry, little rat, I wont hurt you. I just ate." Shishou flicked her tongue again and leaped from her rockinto the powdery snow that lay on the ground. She circled the fawn from a distance. "though your friend does look quite tasty. ah but my mother taugh me not to eat junk food." She grined, stopping her pacing and sitting on her hunches near the fawn.

Ronno didn't understand why everything was happening now. If his mother was here, they wouldnt even be in this mess. But, his mother left him. He had no idea where his mother was so there was no use in thinking about her. Ronno started to move forward when the large cat jumped up in front of him. His mind told him to run but he stayed. He stood there. Frozen.

Shishou tilted her head looking at the fawn. "Not having a good day, eh?" She stepped alittle closer to the fawn trying not to be intimadating, which she supposed was hard because of her size in comparison to the fawn. "Don't worry I wont hurt you, in fact I think I might help you, just tell Shishou what's wrong?" This was wierd, she had never asked a fawn to confide in her, but there was a first time for everything right?

Pip bared her incisors as a warning to the huntress. Not fond of this cat's attempts at gaining their trust, she scurried up the back of Ronno's neck and sat atop his head. "No see here, huntress. We'll take no kindness to your breed! Earning the trust of a wee fawn only to swipe it's life from before it's eye!? Shame on you, shame on you!" Looking down at her new companion, one she was growing quite fond of, she spoke sweetly. "Come along, pay her no heed."
Not that Pip was cruel. In spirit, she was a gentle, fun-loving munk. But, experiences had taught her in her short life span never to trust a carnavoir. Their lives could depend on this mistrust. However, something in the back of her mind caused her second thoughts on this decision. Was this puma speaking the truth? Did she honestly care for the safety of young Ronno? Or was she meerly securing her meal deep within her claws?
((Hey Ronno, try to keep your post more detailed. ^.^ We gotta' set a good example.))

[>.< yes sorry!]
Ronno took one last look at the cat. Then he turned around and headed through the snow up a large hill. His spotted coat seemed to be getting covered with the snow as it fell harder and harder. He took one step at a time and slowly made it up the hill. When he reached the top, all you could see was white everwhere. not a single life form was around minus them and the cat.

The young doe walked slowly into the terra. She walked halfway out sniffing and listening to all `round `er. She finally detirmined the part she was in was safe. She looked `round `er once more before lowering `er crown to graze at a few snips of grass. She looked `round `er carefully once more beofre taking a long drink. She sighed, now she would just need to go find a den in the thicket. She suddenly looked up to see a young fawn, but there was no doe with `im. She slowly made `er way up the hill.
She came to the top of the hill, still unaware of the big cat not far off. All she saw was the fawn and a small creature with `im. {Hello young fawn.} She said kindly, trying not to scare `im off. {Where is your mother?} She asked in a motherly voice. She stepped closer to `im. `er crown extended slowly towards `im, sniffing `im slightly for wounds. There seemed to be none, which meant `e couldn`t have been left behind because of a wound. So either `is mother was off somewhere else or `e was alone.

Shishou walked far behind them giving the fawn and the chipmunk their space. "You don't need to worry, I'm a vegitarrian." She yelled up ahead of her so they could hear her. Tired of waiting behind she dashed easily throw the snow up alongside the deer and fawn. "His mommy is gone." she said to the new comer. She knew who it was when something bad happens to you, you don't want to repeat it to every one who comes by, so she was doing him a favor.

The doe was watching the young one intently, waiting for `is response. She did not even notice the cat, let alone it loping up to `er. She saw it out of the corner of `er pool and startled. She did not leave the fawn but instinctively lashed out at the cat. She settled slightly after hearing the cat`s words. She still kept `er distance from the predator but did not leave the fawn`s side. {Is that true?} She asked softly. {I recently lost a fawn to a wolf.} She said softly, she couldn`t help letting `er orbs wander to the cat. {If you do not wish to be alone, I have a den in the thicket.} She said, hoping the fawn would accept. It was not safe for it to be alone. She knew she could not replace it`s mother but she could give it a chance, help it grow to be a buck one day. {What is your name young one?} She asked `im kindly. She kept a wary eye on the cat still, however.
