Her nose picked up the scent of a rabbit. She moved quickly around the snowy field. Her black fur might be easy to spot on the fluffy white snow, but there wasn't much left. It was late winter meaning it was coming to a close. Finally some warmer weather would be coming soon. This canine like creature wasn't a fan of the cold.
She slipped around the tree's and watched the rabbit. Her tounge ran over her lips. When the right moment came she spang foward chasing the rabbit across the meadow before tripping it. The rabbit tumbled to the ground as she sank her teeth into it's flesh. The rabbit had stopped breathing. Finally this canine like creature known as a wolf began her small feast on the rabbit

From high up in the branches the glossy raven watched a wolven tear at a rabbit. She shivvered at the thought if that were her...She not dare think about it.She swooped over to another branch lower though. She wanted another look at the new wolven. With her dark eyes watching every move she was positive she'd be fine.

Blood stained the white snow. It ran down her maw as she tore away and ate the meat. She had been living off small mammals all winter long. She couldn't wait for the herds of deer and such to return.
Her nose caught the scent of a raven. Great a raven. The normally ment trouble. Not as much trouble as Crows gave her. Her yellow eyes found the bird sitting on a branch above her. She stared at it for a minute. Should she be kind and offer some? Well it was every animal for themself in winter time...

Another being was watching that fateful hour. Two dark eyes focused on the blood that soaked the winter's snow. A pink, wet tounge licked her chops in hunger. Carefully, the coyote edged out from behind a nearby maple. Then, the instincts of the scavenger took full lead. Loki darted out suddenly, turning sharply and limberly. The snow was difficult to manuver in, but hunger drove her forward.
Nipping at the blooded snow, the taste sent tingles down her spine. More! She needed more! It had been a long winter, deer were scarce and this tiny kill intrigued her. But.. That wolf.. Wolves were larger and more powerful. She'd have to be quicker and think on her paws to survive a confrontation. Grabbing at a leg that was torn away from the carcass, she attempted to run off with it.

Her head shot up toward the Coyote. She was just like that fox Tokala. Daring and Cunning. It seemed she was as hungry as the rest. As she approched the wolf curled her lip up slightly. A low growl came from her throat. If this Coyote was hungry why didn't she just hunt herself.
As the Coyote snatched the leg her growl grew louder. She spang foward chasing her. She snapped at the tail and heels at first trying to trip it. She stopped and growled knowing if she strayed too far from her kill another might steal it. She let this Coyote off with a warning this time, but next time it might not be so lucky

As the wolf seemed to be turning back toward it's kill, Loki failed to watch ahead of her, tripping over a tree root. Sent tumbling head-over-heals, she landed on her back. Quickly, she jumped up and went to grab the meat again. Taking it firmly, she ran around behind a shrub to devour it with haste.
Finished, she edged out again, prepared to snatch away another quick meal when she noticed the bird. Tilting her head, she watched it for a moment. Raven meat.. It was said that to kill a raven sent forth spirits.. Of course.. She didn't believe that bear poo story. A story told to pups by their grandmothers. Snarling, her pupils focused and she stupidly took a step closer, temporarily forgetting the wolf as she approached.

The wolf named Tsuki Tala or just Tala returned to her kill. There was still much left even though the Coyote had taken the leg. She once again tore away forgetting the raven above her. It looked like she was going to bother her. The Coyote on the other hand was being a pain. See her come back she quickly stepped over her kill with teeth fully bared warning this pain in the behind to back off.

Yelping as the realization of Tala's presence flashed across her mind, Loki leaped back and darted away from her teeth. Blast it.. But the fear she felt from those teeth overcame the hunger that slowly ebbed at her. Turning, Loki tore off through the underbrush and away from the two creatures. A raven just wasn't worth a confrontation with a wolf. No, there were other animals in this forest, and the coyote would just have to find them herself.
Hesitating, she lifted her snout to the air. But, alas, no tell-tale scents came to her. Dishearted, but not willing to lay down to rest, she left the area; still hungry.
